The Role

As a Director specialized in the life insurance business you will work beside some of the industry’s top thought leaders designing and implementing cutting-edge solutions to challenges faced by the world’s leading insurers.

Clients

  • Lead and engage with direct colleagues with all aspects their sales activity campaigns, industry profile etc. and provide feedback to the Spanish Life team (and more generally the Spanish ICT team) on the development of propositions to meet goals, achieve strategy and support client needs.
  • Contribute, challenge and support the Spanish Market Leader in the development of the strategy for the business, and meet or exceed the goals of the agreed local and regional scorecard.
  • Appropriate client relationship management, contracting and delivery of projects.
  • Support cooperation between other markets across the South West division (and EMEA / Globally), as well as other WTW LOBs regarding an integrated go-to-market approach and service offerings.
  • Act as a role model to the local team for leadership in sales excellence, high quality project management and delivery, professional excellence and drive forward the adoption of best practice across the team.
  • Demonstrate commitment to Willis Towers Watson professional standards in managing analyses and in communications with clients

Leadership

  • Lead or contribute to the development of the company’s intellectual capital including plans for taking this to market
  • Think issues through and devise new approaches for creating opportunities
  • Establish a public reputation in a chosen specialism through the production of articles and presentations

Financial and business development

  • Help the local team to meet financial target goals, intellectual capital development, and revenue generation
  • Develop and present proposals to potential clients, demonstrating the economic value of the company’s offerings
  • Use contacts within current network to obtain introductions to new contacts; work to develop supporters for company’s products and services

People

  • Build relationships internally and collaborate effectively on cross-functional teams
  • Demonstrate natural ease and effectiveness when dealing with clients / colleagues at all levels
  • Serve as manager or mentor to more junior associates

The Requirements

We are looking for candidates with skills and qualifications that may include :

  • Recognized expertise, knowledge and experience in all aspects of Life insurance business.
  • Experience of 15 years in a consulting or financial services firm, with a focus on life insurance
  • A team leader and a sales challenger approach.
  • High level of written and spoken English
  • A track record in understanding client issues, creating new solutions to meet their needs and closing a sale.
  • Exceptional ability to interact with senior C-suite clients and build long-standing relationships.
  • A proven track record of personal selling, driving a sales culture and coaching developing colleagues.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills including the motivation of teams and inspiring other senior colleagues.
  • Work collaboratively across the senior Spanish and South West division team, Technology colleagues and broader ICT
  • Depth of experience in financial modelling, proficient in coding actuarial software ( MoSes, RAFM, Prophet, R3S)
  • Knowledge of Embedded Value, Solvency II and / or IFRS 17 reporting requirements.
  • Experience on M&A valuations
  • Experience of successfully managing projects and producing quality deliverables on time and within budget
  • Strong client relationship, interpersonal and team skills
  • Strong analytical and creative skills
  • Enjoy training / mentoring junior staff
  • The ability to see the "big picture," leveraging the resources of related practices to address the clients' business challenges
  • Availability to travel on an as needed basis, domestically and internationally
