Associate Test Engineer - Cheonan

As a Associate Test Engineer for Motion Business Area in Cheonan, Korea, you will be responsible for supporting completion of testing activities efficiently and cost-effectively, and in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.

This position reports to

Engineering Manager I

Your responsibilities

• Supporting Test Engineers with product and system testing
• Preparing standard test records and completes test documentation
• Assisting in carrying out tests and inspections at suppliers' premises to meet the contractual obligations of systems orders
• Providing necessary support to other functions during the testing and validation of digital solutions
• Supporting risk assessments to assure safe systems of work and takes appropriate actions.
• Maintaining test reports and certificates that prove compliance with required and applicable standards, market, or regulatory requirements in line with customer specifications, legal or ABB internal requirements
• Following work plans and cost estimates for work in one’s area of responsibility
• Participating the collaboration with the supply chain function to ensure correct suppliers services and equipment are available to support testing activities

Your background

• A bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronic
• Sound knowledge of Motor/drive
• 0-2 years of experience in motor/drive industry working as an engineer would be preferred
• A strong focus on safe work practices and dedication to following workplace safety guidelines
• A collaborative, solution-focused approach, and strong written and spoken communication skills
• Good in both written and verbal English and Korean
