Job Purpose

The Category Specialist Professional Services role within the global procurement team of Straumann Group supports and executes strategies and sourcing activities that have been identi-fied by the Global Category Manager Professional Services.

He / she has an overall responsibility with respect to costs, quality, delivery, service and contracting of the purchased goods and services.

He / she supports multiple Straumann group entities, manufacturing sites across regions and business units as well as other Basel HQ corporate functions when needed.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Source goods and services for Straumann group entities and Corporate Functions. Manage supplier relationship with a portfolio of selected suppliers belonging to the Professional Services Category : Marketing & Education, HR, Consulting, R&D and Travel services.
  • Execute sourcing activities in accordance with the global category strategy, and in compliance with applicable policies, procedures, regulatory standards, applicable laws, ethical standards, and code of business conduct.
  • Conduct sourcing events identified for a category using the digital S2C tool, from supplier master data and onboarding, to sourcing event and contracting all executed in the procurement digital systems.
  • Drive the realization of savings, supply efficiency, quality, process improvements and track the achieved results.
  • He / her is accountable for the delivery of value creation benefits (COGS improvement, NWC ) for the identified scope, must be able to report regularly on on the progress.
  • Maintain procurement systems to ensure continuous support of the goods and services requirements and accuracy of data in SAP (master data, vendor master, source list), as well as accuracy of data in the digital platforms for S2C and Sustainable procurement.

Profile

  • Preferred eduction : Bachelor, academic degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, or Economics
  • Professional certification : CIPS or CPSM desired
  • Langages : English (written and spoken) and any additional langage would be an advantage.

Experience

  • Experience between 3 and 5 years in procurement.
  • Demonstrated performance in working with several department and functions, with requisite drive and energy to be successful in delivering always keeping the internal customer (being a manufacturing site or a corporate function) as a priority.
  • Previous experience in using S2C digital platforms required (at least one year).
  • Previous experience in executing P2P Process transactions in SAP required (at least one year)

  • Ability to deal with ambiguities, conflicts and adversarial relationships
  • Intermediate negotiation skills with ability to drive timely their completion
  • Must be able to identify problems quickly, make sound judgments, establish and implement solutions and escalate if / when needed
