What you’ll do
- Driving the 3PL teams to meet defined KPI’s, business goals & objectives and Ensure stability in warehouse operations
- Lead the discussions with Customer service teams to plan and execute shipments, identify improvement opportunities, and implement changes.
- Aligns closely and strategically with cross functional teams & cross regional teams to improve fulfillment lead time, drive deflation, and reduce logistics risk, ensure operational excellence & compliance
- Challenge existing ways of working using Lean tools to drive higher operational efficiencies.
- Prepare & Report out on business reviews and drive solutions for the distribution of products.
- Lead regular monthly, quarterly business reviews with stakeholders and logistics suppliers/partners
- Lead and manage transportation cost, spend analysis, initial cost saving opportunities and drive implementations
- Lead and manage regional war rooms with the customer service teams to ensure customer order fulfilment for critical and priority customer orders
- Implementing and maintaining metrics, internal self-audits & processes to ensure adherence to customs, Cytiva export requirements.
- Be the single point of contact for the logistics and transportation operations escalations and responsible for being audit ready (Quality, EHS, Security, Business Continuity audits)
- Own and manage the transportation operations quality performance. Drive root cause analysis with 3PL quality teams and ensure no repeat defects
- Drive continuous productivity & compliance improvements
- Ensuring that operations requirements for AEO / CTPAT / equivalent certification are implemented and sustained
Who you are
- Minimum of 6 years in Operational environment of Distribution, Logistics or Transportation Management
- Solid communications and analytical skills
- Proven ability to execute, multi-task, and deliver on commitments
- Effective problem solving, root cause analytical skills.
- Experience of improvement work using LEAN
- Bachelor degree (or High School Diploma and a minimum of 6 operations experience), project management experience
