Agilent Diagnostic Service (ADS) services cancer diagnostic labs worldwide. ADS is a team of +150 Agilent Field Service Engineers (FSE), +50 Agilent external Service Providers (ASP), and a Global Service Operations team.
The role as a Global Service Specialist (GSS) is within the Global Service Operations Team, New Product Innovation (NPI).
A GSS NPI is the company’s most Senior service professional with a forward-looking, but also analytical mindset. The GSS’s ultimate role is to secure high reliability and serviceability in future pathology instrument platforms as well as making sure our Field Staff is properly trained to do their job.
As a GSS NPI, you have various stakeholders inside ADS and across other functional groups like R&D, Marketing, Supply chain, and QA / RA.
Applying your communication skills, creativity and can-do attitude is essential. As such this role requires a seasoned FSE with superior technical (electronics, fluidics, communication and collaboration skills.
Preferably you have experience with the Pathology space and if possible Dako Instrumentation, but it is not a requirement.
You will be challenged on your ability to write, speak and communicate in English. You will have to prove your abilities to methodically write service documentation and manuals.
You will secure our procedures with a focus of Ease-of-Executing Business and Day-2-Day priorities.
The role can be done remotely within Europe, but is preferred to be out of Glostrup, Denmark; If remotely it will be required to frequently (up to 20% travel time) visit either Glostrup or another office for meetings, conduct training and in-depth instrument investigations.
Your Role :
- Represent ADS in instrument NPI projects.
- Apply your skills to foresee and predict failures in future instrumentation.
- Keep a holistic perspective, yet still being able to zoom in on details whenever needed
- Securing Service requirements as a key parameter in modernizing Pathology Platforms.
- Participate in meetings with suppliers and partners to secure that service requirements are met
- Conduct FSE Trainings in Agilent facilities
- Develop, maintain and update service documentationService ManualsChecklistsTraining materialsService Bulletins / NotesEtc.
- Support FSEs from around the world in technical escalations over the phone, e-mail, and possible travel
- Monitor product and service issues and drive resolutions through service forums and stakeholders such as R&D, RA / QA, Supply Function and Marketing
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in ( in engineering or equivalent experience.
- 8 years of Service experience working on Medical Devices. Preferably Pathology devices
- Fluent in English (written and verbal)
- Excellence communication skills
- Good analytical skills and can comprehend larger processes or data
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a positive mindset
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and make good judgments in decision making
- Flexible and open to change
