The Global Key Account Director is expected to maintain and expand the relationships with strategically important large customers and will responsible for achieving sales and service quota and assigned strategic account targets.
Following the above-mentioned foundation, the Global Key Account Director will be responsible for tasks such as:
- Establish productive, professional relationships with key personnel in strategic account.
- Coordinate the involvement of company personnel, including sales, service, and management resources, in order to meet account performance goals and customers' expectations.
- Meet assigned targets for profitable sales volume and strategic priorities in assigned account.
- Proactively support the company-strategic account planning process that develops mutual performance goals, sales targets, and critical milestones.
- Proactively assess, clarify, and validate customer needs on an ongoing basis.
- Coordinate solution development efforts to create new business solutions that best address customer needs, while coordinating the involvement of all necessary company personnel.
- Act as the liaison between strategic customer and local teams from the entry phase to a new market until the deal is closed and thereafter during service term.
- Drive customer success through solid business understanding and the ability to strongly align the Vestas value proposition within our customer's' business goals.
Qualifications
- The qualified candidate will be an experienced profile with international business experience, ideally gained in the energy industry and covering sales or key account management.
- Bachelor or MS degree in Engineering or Business Administration or Economics.
- Proven senior profile with minimum 10 years of business experience (deal closer) and a proven history of progressive results and of transforming, building, and maintaining good businesses relationships, ideally with big energy corporations.
- Business proficient in English and Spanish are required.
