Preply's design chapter crafts the experience for all of our users : individual and group learners, tutors, and businesses looking to help their employees improve their language skills.

Our product designers, researchers, and UX writers work with the extended product team to create an engaging, delightful experience that drives business value by identifying and solving customer problems.

What you’ll be doing

Preply’s app plays a crucial role in the learning journey of most Preply users. It’s their first experience with Preply and allows them to easily schedule lessons, do homework, study vocabulary, and, most of all, communicate with their tutors.

And for tutors, our app allows them to manage the learning of their multiple learners.

• Collaborating closely with product and engineering peers, you will work with designers from multiple product squads to help bring new features to Preply’s app.
• You will also partner with your fellow app designers and use your specific expertise to ensure a consistent, usable and delightful app experience
• Play an important role in Preply’s larger design and product org by contributing to Preply’s Design System and helping created a bespoke, app-centric Preply Design Language

What you need to succeed :

• Minimum of 5+ years of professional Product Design experience, with a focus on app design.
• Strong communication skills to effectively present your work and bring key stakeholders on board. You are confident in your ideas but open to learning from others.
• You have experience handing off work to engineers, the dedication and focus to work alongside them to ensure high quality design on launch.
• You have the drive to share work early and often, and to foster a mindset of collective ownership and effort. You leave the ego at the door.
• As a plus, we value any experience supporting your fellow designers improve their app design skills, as well as designing compelling cross-platform features, especially ones that originated on desktop.
