What you’ll do 

The Lead IT Support Engineer for Cytiva’s new plant in Muskegon, Michigan will be critical for the start-up of Cytiva’s resins plant. Reporting to the IT Manager on the site, the Lead IT Support Engineer will work with users and business units on site and provide support to both personal and shared IT functions. Including support services for applications, clients and equipment in validated lab, warehouse, and manufacturing environments. The Lead IT Support Engineer will be part of a local IT team on site but will also work closely with our central teams and our site in Uppsala - Sweden which have the same type of environments and applications.

  • Maintain services, monitor, improve and ensure availability for services provided by the unit. Including clients, mobility, wireless, printing and collaboration. 
  • Manage incidents / problems, providing support for associates both on-site or remote by handling support tickets in ServiceNow. 
  • Work as an extension of the global support and operations teams.   
  • Manage service-requests, including the staging and provision/ordering of IT equipment, supporting local team, etc.
  • Work in the support reception and on the floor at location by the business units .
  • Provide support services for personal IT, shared IT, applications and validated environments in lab, warehouse, and manufacturing environments. 
  • Host and provide trainings for the user communities. 
  • Assist and work together with the IT infrastructure team, assisting with tasks related to the network and hosting environments.    
  • Coordination tasks including maintaining accurate hardware asset lists, keeping track of licenses and applications installed on the clients, etc. 
  • Coordinate the interaction between our associates and IT services to ensure all incidents and requests are handled to business satisfaction.  
  • Learn and stay up do date with solutions within the service area and according to local initiatives and the roadmap from global IT.  
  • On behalf of the local support team report to and align with the IT manager. 
  • Be the focal point for associate interaction and escalations of issues to the service area, including, client, mobility, wireless, printing and collaboration. 
  • Interact with central IT teams and colleagues on the Uppsala, Sweden site. 
  • Collaborate and communicate with vendors, partners, and suppliers. 
  • Communicate, orally and in writing, technical information to audiences at all levels of the organization. 
  • Limited assignment giving technical input to the service unit and project on behalf of the current conditions on site.
  • Assignment and participation in IT projects. 
  • Be part of performing changes to the supported functions, administrate, plan, test and implement changes.  

Who you are 

  • Bachelors Degree or 5+ years of relevant experience providing support services.
  • Experience in Microsoft suite, including Windows, Office and teams. Antivirus and software distribution.  
  • Staging and deployment of clients. 
  • Extensive experience working according to the ITIL processes, incidents, and service-requests in a structured support system. 
  • High level of energy and enthusiasm to achieve the best possible experience for our users. 
  • Have excellent interpersonal, verbal communication, with the ability to quickly build credibility with our associates.  
  • Strong team player - collaborates well with others to solve problems.
