Lead, plan, coordinate, supervise and execute the different tasks and activities during the installation of Gas Turbine projects to ensure delivery according to plan with the Highest Quality&Safety standards
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Supervise the activities of assigned personnel during execution of scheduled Installation activities, repair or modification at the level established by management.
- Supervising / Directing of contractors for agreement with planning and conformance with design specifications; fulfillment of contract; observance of jobsite rules; dealing with permits to work and other remaining points; checking of method statements
- Giving technical instructions per agreement according to contract.
- Checking for completed erection and assembly documents and making sure that they are submitted on time
- Supervision of incoming visual inspections of supplier shipments. Provide technical directions on open box inspections
- Provide directions to ensure timely completion of tasks in accordance with specification and required quality.
- Checking of erection and assembly documentation including the “as built” documentation
- Reporting about erection progress and keeping of a log
- Controlling of and participation in witnessed testing by customers and/or authorities
- Actively implement creative problem solving of technical issues within own area of responsibility, in alignment with Site and Project Management and applicable QHSE standards and actively support the continuous improvement of tools, equipment, technical processes for Siemens Energy outages execution.
- Making sure that rules and regulation for industrial safety, environmental and health protection are observed in one’s own area of responsibility
- Completion on time of assigned TOPs (turn over packages) and transferal to the commissioning team
- Reports to SE Chief TFA / SE site lead and / or SE Project manager on site Directing the contractor
What You Bring
- Diploma/ bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline OR a Vocationally Trained/ High School Diploma/ GED with at least 8-10 years working experience in power generation industry, preferably on Siemens Energy Gas Turbines
- Profound skills and experience in general mechanical maintenance activities of power generation equipment or in the Oil & Gas industry and willingness to continuously work hands-on under time pressure and in difficult conditions, the ability to independently execute specialist tasks e.g. combustion chamber tiling, general assembly, burner maintenance, blades and vanes assembly on Siemens Gas turbines are an additional advantage
- Able to read, understand and independently work to drawings, specifications and unit conversions in accordance to international codes and standards
- Good English language skills both verbally and written is a minimum requirement, having more language skills is a plus
- Good level of digital literacy, confident user of relevant IT-applications (Microsoft Office).
- Pro-active, problem solving and ready to work attitude, readiness to take additional tasks to improve the Status Quo if needed,
- Creative, livelong learner thriving to generate better solutions for technical issues at all times based on profound technical competence and own ingenuity
- Team player with the ability to work, communicate effectively and respectful (English written and oral) and solve problems under pressure in a complex environment, collaborating with international and culturally diverse teams
- Good understanding of HSE and Quality requirements and standards in the related field of work.
- Willing to work and travel independently and extensively to new work location.
