The Procurement Engineer is responsible for logistics planning and forecasting needs for products and services as well as distribution plans. Responsible for selecting and establishing vendor relationships and obtaining the desired value as well as defining and implementing strategy and process changes that improve turnaround times for optimal procurement of goods and services.
This position is part of the Global Strategic Sourcing and Procurement Team FTAP and will be located in Poland. Pall Corporation – FTAP
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Prepare commercial bid tabulations, conduct commercial negotiation and conclude on techno commercial requirements.
Ensure materials are purchased at or below the budget / standard cost to drive material savings and enhance the as booked gross margins on our projects
Teaming up with Project Managers and Project Engineers on awarded projects and executing the projects.
Improve working capital by extending payment terms and procuring materials On time to meet project requirements.
Maintain existing vendor relationship and initiate potential new vendor relationship Continuously improve supplier performance and relationships through a documented and quantitative Supplier Evaluation Program Be the principal contact for all commercial and contractual matters.
The essential requirements of the job include:
Experience 3-5 Years in Procurement
Excellent communication skills
Experience in supplier relationship management
Knowledge of SAP
Strong Negotiation Skills
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
Preferably a Mechanical engineer with experience in handling procurement activities for at least 3 to 5 years.
Proficient in the use of MS Office computer applications including Word, Excel and Power Point.
Have a good understanding on the Oil & Gas industry
