Procurement Trainee (Direct Material ), Madrid (Es)

The regional Procurement Office (RPO) Mediterranean is responsible for all procurement activities related to Southern Europe, Turkey, Middle East, and Africa. The RPO consists of three sub departments Strategic Purchasing, Procurement Quality, and Suppliers Quality & Development. The strategic purchasing department is structured in focused teams procuring goods and services for our Turbines and our Constructions and Service Business. With a matrix organization, with global and regional roles, the RPO ensures the deployment of common strategy and processes with same overall goals across all Vestas regions. You will report to the MED Head of Direct Material Procurement, the full team is working cross-functionally and is responsible for managing all procurement activities related to Direct Material Category.

Responsibilities:

• Support the team on the following activities:

• Supplier Relationship Management and Accounts Plan.

• Spend analysis review and proposal of cost-out initiatives.

• Business cases and bench-marking analysis.

• Support on critical projects when needed.

Qualifications:

We are looking for a student enthusiastic about renewable energy and willing to learn about procurement. Studies in Supply Chain Management, Business or Engineering (or similar). Highly proficient in English, written and verbally and ideally in other languages (Spanish).
