The Mission : We are looking for a Senior Project Manager with first-class project management skills to help us manage a new product introduction for Worldsensing where the product is already in-life.
The Senior Project Manager will initially be responsible for this product’s introduction and early in-life management. The primary focus in the first months will be product launch then thereafter additional responsibilities will be assigned to this role depending on the skill set of the individual.
This may include further product launch projects and / or managing developments in the roadmap through the Product Lifecycle Management process.
You will join a dynamic and fast-paced environment and work with multiple Worldsensing departments to make a significant impact on the growth of the business through the delivery of new products.
Outcomes : The candidate must be able to quickly understand the new product, its manufacture, supply chain, distribution, customer base, sales and support requirements and working across the business with the senior management team ensure a solid integration of this new product and with a timely delivery to market.
In addition, the candidate must be able to plan activities, prepare documentation, deliver results through others and cooperate with Product Managers, Product Owners and Engineers during project implementation.
Knowledge of systems and the communications and management of data from source to analysis will be highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities :
- Coordinate projects and execute the management of tasks including plans, documentation, risks and mitigation, and completion of actions ensuring adherence to timescales and costs;
- Report on progress and issues to line management, stakeholders and C-Level as required.
- Organize project meetings with multidisciplinary teams from different departments and levels to manage progress;
- Implement an appropriate strategy for cost control and use of resources for the projects;
- Development of the relationship with key stakeholders and establishment of any long-term planning;
- Regular follow up of the projects’ requirements, any contractual obligations and scope;
- Resolve issues as they arise, act quickly as empowered with authority and responsibility.
- Act as the leading authority in project management discipline for others in the company.
Requirements
- Experience in product management or within a product oriented environment (+5 years)
- Several years experience in an engineering (hardware and software) role or similar (+5 years);
- Ability to direct teams of engineers whilst being an effective team player;
- Fluent in English (excellence in written and spoken) and a persuasive communicator;
- A qualification in a project management discipline and / or membership of an appropriate professional body is highly desirable.
- Previous project team leadership experience and / or experience in leading EU funded projects will be highly valued but not essential.
- Telecommunication / electronics or IT degree is a plus.
- Availability to travel for at least 30% of the time (clear restriction with COVID);
- Organized, flexible and proactive.
