Position Overview

Technical Account Specialists (TAS) help our Enterprise Customers get more out of their Autodesk Software by holding workshops and being trusted advisors.

The TAS is the first point of contact for all things technical concerning Autodesk Inventor software and will have to back up from other TAS colleagues on software that you don't specialise in.

The successful candidate will work closely with high-profile customers in the manufacturing space, including everything from bearings to battleships.

You will join the Customer Technical Success (CTS) group and work closely with other departments, such as Technical Support, to provide a premium experience for our customers.

Responsibilities

  • Lead discovery calls to help understand customer workflows and needs
  • Deliver technically driven presentations to explain precisely how tools and environments work in Inventor software
  • Create or customise presentations based on what users want to learn about
  • Establish and maintain working relationships with customers as a trusted technical advisor
  • Report on the status of open support tickets and notify your accounts of upcoming events in regular support calls
  • Other activities include regular internal account team meetings and customer support calls

Minimum Qualifications

  • Advanced knowledge of Autodesk Inventor
  • Awareness of industry needs, workflows and future trends
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in design or engineering
  • 5 6 years of Product Design or Manufacturing field experience
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
  • Fluency in English
  • Confident in speaking to customers and presenting
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to convey complex technical details coherently to a live or virtual audience
  • Team player who enjoys supporting and interacting with other members of a shared responsibility team
  • Proactive approach, where initiative it's taken instead of waiting for work to present itself
  • Must be flexible, decisive, self-motivated and proactive
  • Able to manage several projects at a time, setting the right priorities
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers
  • Demonstrated motivation to learn new skills and technologies

Preferred Qualifications

  • Any other different European language is a plus.
  • Experience in the use of Autodesk Vault or a similar Data Management system
  • Experience with iLogic, simulation, Fusion, AutoCAD Mechanical, or any other Autodesk product is a plus but not required
  • Technical consulting experience would be advantageous
