Your role

• Sequencing quality analysis (Illumina, Oxford Nanopore)
• Apply amplicon, metagenomics, metranscriptomics, etc already existing pipelines
• Apply statistics already existing protocols
• Support in development and validation of new methodologies.
• Reports’ writing.

Your profile

• MSc degree in Bioinformatics/Computational Biology or bioinformatics’ trained profile
• MSc/Bachelors degree in Sciences or Mathematics
• Experience in: i) data science: Scripting (R, Python, etc), data analysis (data retrieving and manipulation from public repositories, building and analysis datasets) and ii) statistical models.
• >1 year of proven experience in R&D
• Computational modelling
• Microbial systems modelling
• Development of methodologies and tools
• Organizational, leadership and planning skills.
• Communication and presentation skills.
• Fluent written and speaking in English
• Ability to interpret and summarize scientific results in a clear, concise and accurate manner.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.
• Good ability to multi-task and productive and flexible way of working.
• Experience in data analysis
• Interest for industrial working environment
• Problem solving and critical thinking
• Valued: Spanish
