DirecciónCamera Operator / Video Editor (f/m/d) DW Studio BrusselsWe are seeking a Camera Operator / Video Editor (f/m/d) for our DW Brussels Studio in Belgium as of 1 April 2024 or as soon as possible on the basis of a full-time local staff contract limited for two years.YOUR CHALLENGES
- responsible for filming, editing and final production of news, reports and feature stories to be broadcast on the DW TV program and social media channels
- coordinating video production working closely with the producers and correspondents of the studio in Brussels
- filming and editing footage and video material
- compiling video footage for web and DW’s social media platforms
- documenting video reports
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
- university degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent qualification
- previous experience as Camera Operator familiar with the use and maintenance of different video camera systems (Sony Pxw Z280, Cannon C-series, Panasonic EVA1), GoPros, and drones
- comfortable working with Premiere Pro and Avid
- versed in audio recording
- strong visual story telling skills
- excellent planning and organization skills with a proactive, pragmatic, and hands-on approach
- professional language proficiency in English required, knowledge of French or Dutch desirable, German an advantage
- ability to work in interdisciplinary and diverse teams, high level of intercultural sensitivity and respect for diversity
- willingness to travel across the European Union
