DirecciónWood is currently recruiting for a graduate for Civil Engineering department in our Madrid office.
The selected candidate will cooperate assisting and directly performing specific tasks as follows :
- Perform structural and civil calculations like foundation calculations, piling, retaining walls, steel structures, blast resistant buildings, etc.
- Review of geotechnical reports
- Prepare contract requisitions for civil and structural work on assigned projects
- Prepare Job Specifications for civil and structural work on assigned projects
- Prepare calculation reports, steel structures, concrete structures, and foundations
- Prepare base plate templates for commons HEA / HEB profiles using IdeaStatica
- Check and comment of steel shop drawings
- Check and comment of precast concrete shop drawings
- Master's degree in Civil Engineering or similar
- Spanish language at native level
- Excellent command of English
- Microsoft Office proficient, including strong proficiency in Excel
- Academic situation that allows signing an agreement with a university or training center
- Availability in the morning (daily dedication depending on the academic situation)
- Able to manage own time and ability to prioritise at busy times
- Creative and practical
- Adaptable and persevering
- Interested in pursuing a career within engineering
- Work well with other people
- Good communication skills within a team and externally
- Development experiences and challenges.

Desirable :
- Knowledge of Spanish and International Standards and Codes (Código Estructural, CTE, EuroCodes, AISC, ACI,
- Knowledge of StaadPro and / or SAP2000
