As the Legal Manager for International Business Operations, you'll lead a multicultural team specializing in commercial law.
This role offers a chance to join a well-established global company and delve into cutting-edge legal sectors. Your focus will center on drafting and negotiating consultancy contracts while providing legal support across various business domains such as Real Estate, Business licenses, Insurances, Intellectual Property rights, Litigations, and more.
This international role involves collaboration with legal advisors and business directors across five continents. Reporting directly to the Head of Legal, you'll be an integral part of a global team.
Key Responsibilities :
- Manage team members, fostering in-house counsel expertise in line with Mantu Group's strategic plans.
- Offer strategic legal advice for the Consultancy Services development and mitigate associated international expansion risks.
Evaluate legal aspects within the platform domain, presenting risks and appropriate solutions to senior stakeholders.
- Draft and negotiate diverse commercial agreements (contracts, NDAs, partnerships, sub-contracting, etc.) across different countries.
- Develop legal databases and streamline internal contractual processes to enhance operational efficiency.
- Provide legal and regulatory advice for international business development.
- Support global insurances and business licenses matters.
- Handle pre-litigation and litigations, overseeing contributions from external legal counsels.
- Organize legal training sessions and general onboardings.
- Collaborate actively with other legal departments to facilitate information flow across the Group.
- Foster close relationships with business stakeholders, acting as a business partner to understand their needs and objectives.
Ideal Profile :
Master of Law degree with 7+ years’ post-qualification experience (preferably 4+ years in IT, Telecom, Consulting, or related Technology sectors), focusing on commercial / contractual / international law.
Prior in-house experience is advantageous.
- Ideally, previous experience managing junior legal advisors.
- Native oral and written French is mandatory + Strong oral and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to articulate complex matters clearly. Efficient reporting capabilities to managers.
- Accountability, reliability, and high responsiveness.
- Proactive and self-motivated with the ability to identify and address risks independently.
- Navigate large organizations, collaborate with internal clients, and engage external contributors at all levels.
- Mastery of generative AI such as ChatGPT or Poe.com is a plus for improving day-to-day productivity.
