Corporate Affairs Manager
Location: Novartis, Madrid, Spain #LI-Hybrid

About the Role:
The Corporate Affairs Manager is responsible to lead and support Government Affairs activities and projects to support business objectives in the area of responsibility, engage in customer engagement in the area of responsibility. In addition the selected candidates will shape external policy in the area of responsibility, position Novartis as a trusted partner, hold key external customer relationships and deliver political intelligence and advice to relevant Novartis businesses.
Key Responsibilities:
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Shape, represent, and advance Novartis legislative, policy and alliance strategic objectives at European, national and regional levels.
• Identify and analyze legislation that may affect Novartis business, as well as propose language and strategies to amend and improve legislation.
• Identify, prioritize and drive topics which define policy environment for business.
• Map external customers and systematically engage, setting up key platforms for engagement on key policy and business priorities, working in partnership.
• Lead teams on specific projects, through feasibility, planning, execution and reporting; contribute to projects in cross -functional / cross-divisional team.
• Contribute to the creation, revision and publishing of policy documents, advocacy toolkits, training materials.
• Complete product advocacy where applicable.
• Role model Novartis culture.

Essential Requirements:
• Proficiency in English (Both written and spoken)
• Bachelor’s degree in the relevant area.
• Some years of experience in project management and/or consulting (could be entry-level project management skills).
• A very proactive and highly motivated individual with excellent people and communication skills.
• Ability to think strategically, identify opportunities, and solve sophisticated problems related to organizational processes and operational excellence.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities, emerging trends, and evolving landscapes, combined with creativity to innovate and experiment with approaches to project management and internal engagement strategies.
• Comfort with technology, willingness to learn new tools and techniques, and a proactive approach to staying updated on industry trends, platform updates, and standard methodologies.
