About the Role : We are looking for a Product Data Steward (f / m / d) to join our team. In this role, you will focus on the assessment, improvement and governance of data quality and ongoing fitness for purpose of a divisional critical data asset of sustainability data.

As Data Steward you are not owner of the data but rather serve as trustee to ensure adequate data quality is maintained so that data can effectively support business processes.

You will provide system support and data governance for master and reference data through data coordination and integration to ensure efficient processes and consistent data flows ultimately enabling reporting and analytics to business and key stakeholders.

You identify and implement process improvements, system of records and reference, and identify, review and evaluate data management metrics, which strengthen data integrity, quality and availability across Fabrics.

This position offers multiple work arrangements : on-site at our Putzbrunn III, Feldkirchen or Livingston facility, remote hybrid work allowed from your home office in most locations within various European countries, depending upon the responsibilities of the role and business needs.

Responsibilities :

  • Execute data quality processes in partnership with appropriate stakeholders, including defining business rules and submitting data quality service requests for data quality profiling and / or data quality monitor creation
  • Implement and develop data standards and policies used for sustainability data across systems in partnership with business stakeholders and digital transformation team
  • Identify key sustainability data sets and understand country / regional, or business standards that are applicable to the data
  • Execute and facilitate data governance process and documenting it in Collibra as Data Governance management tool to implement and maintain data management principles, including risk assessment and analysis, escalation processes and continuous improvement
  • Create working partnerships with business teams, analytics and process management team, by building credibility to facilitate data change processes, ensuring data consistency, and provide recommendations for data and process improvement
  • Engage business to translate business requirements into configuration data requirements and work with data specialist to create and maintain those
  • Partner with Application Specialists to resolve integration issues or data availability to ensure better analytics and reporting
  • Inform and support product data maintenance in PLM, ERP and related applications

Required Qualifications :

  • College degree (preferred engineering or data disciplines) and minimum of 3 years experience working with data management OR minimum of 5 years experience working with data in business process and / or systems support
  • Experience developing and executing data governance processes to make decisions, identify risks, and drive issues to resolution
  • Experience in managing and analyzing data to support processes, solve problems and enables decision making
  • Experience working with global teams and working effectively with diverse groups of associates
  • Experience working with large data sets
  • Self-motivated and able to work effectively in a global team setting
  • Demonstrated ability to influence broadly, working effectively with business and technical stakeholders, and to work through ambiguity
  • Demonstrated ability for performing detail-oriented work
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, implement and execute against documented procedures and standards and holding associates accountable to it
  • Ability to travel 10%

Desired Qualifications :

  • Experience with Collibra and / or Product Stewardship applications
  • Experience working with sustainability data requirements and / or understanding of broad field of sustainability themes
  • Experience in moving Sustainabiity Strategies into action and enabling consistent reporting
