In performing the Database Engineer position, as part of the Research and Development team, you will have the opportunity to :
- Work closely with development teams with regards to database updates and design
- Optimize queries
- Test database to ensure everything operates efficiently without error
- Analyse and recommend database Improvements
- Analyse impact of database changes to the business
- Analyse requirements and understanding of company’s data needs
- Troubleshoot database errors
- Extract live data, datamining
- Oversee development of new databases
- Install database software and maintain database
- Guarantee database setup meets industry requirements
- Review existing solutions
- Set security permissions for database

- Thorough knowledge of SQL and an understanding of SQL Server
- Bachelors’ degree preferred or combination of education and experience in an industry related field
- Related Database Engineering experience
- High level of proficiency in technical programming language
- Ability to analyse and summarize highly technical information
- Ability to apply state of the art technology solutions to Database Engineering problems
- Understands how to develop within an Agile Development environment
- Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to delivery excellent customer service to all stakeholders
- Results driven professional with the ability to work well and deliver under pressure in a fast paced environment
