Job Description:


WANTED: A mission-driven professional with US Navy Maintenance Planning and Execution experience and Secret clearance to become our next Detachment Engineer for SURFMEPP in Spain. Candidate will support SURFMEPP.

As a SURFMEPP Detachment Engineer, you will:

  • Provide critical support in protecting our country.
  • Work with a team of driven, supportive and highly skilled professionals supporting SURFMEPP Continue growing and perfecting your skills as a US Navy Maintenance Planning and Execution expert.

A week in the life of a Detachment Engineer:

  • Track execution of Baseline Availability Work Packages (BAWPs).
  • Coordinate execution of Mandatory Technical Requirements with Regional Maintenance Center Project Managers and Assessment Directors.
  • Interface with TYCOM Port Engineer in support of Availability Work Package planning for assigned ships.

Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science or Arts degree with a minimum of five years of experience in U.S. Navy ship depot level maintenance planning functions OR seven to nine years progressive direct experience related to U.S. Navy surface ship operations or maintenance planning and execution.
  • Experience requirements include management or supervisory roles at a Supervisor of Shipbuilding, Repair, and Conversion command, Regional Maintenance Center, U.S. Navy Central Planning Activity, U.S. Navy Planning Yard Activity, or a Planning for Engineering and Repair Activity.
  • Active Secret Clearance.
