DevOps Engineer
- Initial 12 Month Contract - Likely to be extended
- 100% Remote - Candidates must be based in Europe
- Daily rate : 300€ - €325 per day
- Start date is ASAP
I'm currently working with AI Startup to find a DevOps Engineer Contractor with experience working with cloud technology (GCP) to join a team who are working to develop and improve parts of their platform product infrastructure together with the Front-End, Back-End, QA, and Machine Learning engineers.
Ideally, we are looking for someone that would be able to start this project as soon as possible, however, we can accommodate a four-week notice period.
Qualifications & Expectations
Proficient in DevOps methodologies.
Strong grasp of cloud-based Kubernetes, particularly on GCP.
Fluent in Linux, Docker, and Kubernetes.
Ideally, the candidate should possess 5-years of professional experience in managing and monitoring pipelines, deployments, and various tools.
However, exceptional candidates with intense 3-year experiences are also welcome.
Familiarity with common and uncommon security concerns and tools.
Ability to securely manage and deploy sensitive information.
Experience in modern software development practices including Docker, Git, and CI (preferably GitLab CI).
Demonstrated proficiency in writing comprehensive and concise documentation.
Nice To Have :
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, Helm, ArgoCD, Atlantis).
Solid understanding of relational databases, specifically PostgreSQL.
Previous experience with running Ruby on Rails and / or Python applications, including performance tuning.
Some exposure to managing messaging infrastructure (Redis, RabbitMQ, Kafka).
Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, and OpenTelemetry.
Understanding of the document processing industry.
Responsibilities :
Collaborate with Front-End, Back-End, QA, and Machine Learning engineers to enhance and refine our platform product infrastructure.
Ensure the availability and security of our platform.
Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and CI / CD pipelines.
Actively contribute suggestions for improvements.
Contribute to the development and upkeep of documentation.
