How will you make a difference?

The HR Business Partner will lead the HR strategy for the Global Transit Services Group (2000 employees, Revenues : US$ 1.

1 bn) This role will be critical in partnering strategically with Senior Leadership, and their extended teams, to proactively identify and execute on both business priorities and driving culture change.

Who will you be working with?

The role reports to the Group Vice President Human Resources Transit, with a dotted line to the President, Transit Services Group (TSG).

The role incumbent is member of both, the Transit HR Leadership Team as well as the Transit Services Leadership Team.

What do we want to know about you?

  • Degree from an accredited university or college. Specialization in Human Resources, Industrial / Labor Relations or Business Administration will be an advantage
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a variety of Human Resource positions, both staff and client based
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Human Resource leadership role in the global environment
  • Previous experience working as part of a Corporate business team providing HR strategy & direction
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Previous Labor Relations experience
  • Ability to influence & engage at all levels of the business; including senior leadership
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong coaching skills
  • Full fluency in English required, an additional European language, notably French, Italian, German, Spanish is a plus.

What will your typical day look like?

  • Provide leadership and expertise for the full scope of Human Resource (HR) functions, including talent management, succession planning, leading organizational change and facilitating team performance
  • Partner with HR Centers of Excellence in areas of organizational talent & strategy, compensation & benefits, learning strategies, and employment counsel
  • Perform a leadership role in recruiting, selection, as well as restructuring, and reduction of the workforce as needed
  • Develop and lead strategy to ensure robust pipeline and succession plans are in place
  • Facilitate culture and communications throughout the organization; work with leaders to ensure successful implementation of change efforts
  • Be responsible for compensation plans and rewards and recognition programs that are equitable and in line with the organization’s goals
  • Be a strong Business Partner (interested in the business and understand it) with the Group President and the leadership team
  • Provide advice, counsel, and support for TSG Leadership team, extended HR team and others
  • Act as an impartial advocate to ensure that all individuals receive fair and equitable treatment
  • Be a champion for change and an advocate for diversity across extended organization
  • Effectively coach and manage large direct and dotted line global HR team

Location

Europe, with easy access / vicinity to Paris.

Whilst the role has a global span, the center of gravity, including the business leader are in Paris at Transit Headquarters, most TSG leadership team members are based in Europe.
