The Director ICT Infrastructure Solutions primary objective will be to lead, drive and build a regionally consistent and sustainable presales practice aligned to and in support of the overall business strategy.

The manager will fulfil business development, practice development and product management functions that accelerate in-country success.

He / she must ensure that the business is grown in line with the global solutions and services strategy. This employee will drive the transformation and growth for selling the practice across the country.

The primary objective of this position is to lead, manage and implement a consistent and sustainable practice aligned to and in support of the overall business strategy.

This employee will fulfil business development, practice development and product management functions that accelerate success within the assigned geography / practice.

He / she ensures that the practice is grown in line with the global solutions and services strategy and contributes to the development of the practice strategy.

Working at NTT

Key roles and responsibilities :

  • Manage a Team of direct reports (Business Development Manager, Solution Architects) and Team Managers (responsible for a dedicated team of Solutions Architects).
  • Manage Business Development and Pre-Sales Teams to drive solution and services offerings for all Cloud, Data Center, and secure Networking opportunities with focus on Hybrid IT and Software Defined Solutions.
  • Resource Management and development based on customer requirements across multiple sales teams.
  • Engage with, and support Sales teams in demand creation, cultivation, qualification, and closing of opportunities by leveraging consulting-led sales approach.
  • Skill development for business development and Pre-Sales teams as well as successor development.
  • Liaise with Consulting and Professional Service Management to agree on skill development to address established and new technologies and solutions.
  • Liaise with European GTM Units for Networking, Data Center & Cloud to ensure smooth running of all agreed initiatives.
  • Direct reporting line to German VP Technology Solutions; indirect reporting line to European VP GTM Networking, Data Center & Cloud.
  • Actual quota : US$+ Mio. on revenue for Cloud, Data Center, and Networking Business (Technology, Managed Services, Support Services, Consulting & Professional Services).
  • Align with Strategic and Key Partners to drive and develop joint campaigns, solutions, and skill development.

Knowledge, skills and attributes

  • A technical degree or university degree or comparable training and at least 15 years of professional experience in pre-sales, consulting, or technical sales
  • Strong technology leadership skills, Client / market understanding and identification of the right business momentum.
  • Strong track record in building, expanding, and leveraging vendor relationships.
  • Sustainable initiation and setup of consulting-led presales architecture practice.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership skills in managing and leading multiple technical teams.
  • In-depth Business planning and setup of sustainable business development structures strategic and opportunistic partners analyzing.
  • Demonstrate skills in working in a matrix organization with direct and indirect reporting line.
  • Good understanding of German IT infrastructure market for Managed Services, Professional Services, Consulting Service, and state-of-the-art technology solutions including Cloud, Data Center, and Network.
  • Demonstrate strong technology background in Cloud, Data Center, Networking, and Cyber Security.
  • Enjoy developing and positioning innovative solutions in connectivity and IT infrastructure.
  • Ability to maintain knowledge of trends and development in technology domains.
  • Fluent in German and English; additional European language skills are beneficial.
