Edelman Dxi- Research Manager Primary (Quantitative Projects)

As a Research Manager you will manage medium to large scale primary - quantitative and qualitative projects - research projects. The role involves working with clients, internally and externally, to build relationships and deliver projects.
This role will give you the opportunity to work on a variety of projects under the direction of a Vice President. This is an opportunity to work within a communications agency and expand your knowledge of how communications are brought to life and activated. At the same time, your projects will focus on larger issues impacting the environment our clients work in, whether this is understanding the impact of government legislation, tracking opinions and trends or segmenting the digital population. You will be part of an engaging, fast-paced environment, working with a dynamic and international team.
Key Responsibilities
Project design
* Methodological design: scope of work, research tools, deliverables…
* Project planning and internal resource management
* Tracking project-related costs and revenues to ensure their commercial profitability
Production
* Data analysis and creation of storytelling reports
* Development of recommendations and key insights
* Creation of presentations for internal stakeholders at Edelman for our end clients
* Providing strategic and consultative guidance to the Edelman teams and our end clients
Project management
* Working on several projects at the same time (in different subject areas and with different teams)
* Managing stakeholders' relationships, both internal and external
* Ensuring client satisfaction by delivering high-quality client servicing
People management
* Training junior members of the team and sharing knowledge when relevant
* Efficiently delegating tasks and setting clear goals for more junior team members
* Providing team members with ongoing constructive feedback
Business Development
* Proposal writing, including methodological design and costing
* Developing presentations using visual storytelling
* Identifying growth opportunities for existing clients * College or university degree in business, communications, social or political science, statistics, mathematics, economics, etc., or equivalent work experience in a similar role.
* Previous experience in research (in an agency/research institute or in-house/client-side, etc.)
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Strong numeracy and analytical skills
* Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
* High level of organisational and time management skills
* High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
* An outgoing, 'can do' attitude with the ability to take responsibility for a variety of tasks
* A 'team player' who is willing to help colleagues whenever necessary
* Desire to learn, and a proactive attitude to doing so
* Curiosity about what makes people think and act the way they do
* Enjoys working in a dynamic & fast-paced environment
* International research experience is a distinct advantage
* Experience within a brand, public relations or consumer marketing insights agency is an advantage
* Fluency in English is a must, fluency in other languages is an advantage
