Historic St. Mary’s City is looking for a full-time Contractual Facility Rentals Coordinator.
HSMCC consists of over 850 acres with 2 miles of coastline along the scenic St. Mary’s River,
encompassing 15 exhibits of historical and educational significance. HSMCC was Maryland’s
first Capital, spanning from 1634-1695 before relocating to Annapolis. The museum grounds
contain numerous venues including the 4.5 acre Inn at Brome Howard estate, The Jesuit Chapel,
State House, Margaret Brent Gazebo, a large outdoor pavilion, and a beautiful view shed, all of
which are used for corporate events, weddings, family reunions, live entertainment, festivals,
fashion shows, and major events.

Job Summary :
We are seeking a Facility Rentals Coordinator to oversee the rental and coordination of event
spaces at Historic St. Mary’s City, the Inn at Brome Howard, Margaret Brent Pavilion and
Gazebo, State House, Chapel, and museum grounds. The Facility Rentals Coordinator will be
responsible for coordinating events such as weddings, private parties, corporate events, and other
special occasions.
Responsibilities :
1. Coordinate the rental and reservation process for event spaces, including the Inn at Brome
Howard, Margaret Brent Pavilion and Gazebo, State House, Chapel, and museum grounds.
2. Coordinate with clients to understand their event needs and provide exceptional customer
service to ensure satisfaction.
3. Create and maintain rental contracts, invoices, and event schedules.
4. Oversee event setup, cleanup, and maintenance of event spaces to ensure they meet the highest
standards.
5. Work closely with vendors, caterers, and other event service providers to ensure seamless
event execution.
6. Promote event spaces through marketing and outreach efforts to attract potential clients.
7. Conduct site tours and provide information to prospective clients to showcase the available
event spaces.
8. Collaborate with the events team to develop and implement creative event concepts and
themes.
9. Coordinate event budgets and ensure financial targets are met.
Qualifications :
1. Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, business administration, or related field.
2. Proven experience in event coordination, facility rental, or hospitality industry.
3. Strong organizational and communication skills.
4. Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
5. Ability to multitask and coordinate multiple events simultaneously.
6. Knowledge of event industry trends and best practices.
7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and event coordination software.
8. Creative problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
9. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
10. Familiarity with the Historic St. Mary's City area is a plus.
This is a contractual position with a salary range of $45K - $55K per year, with certain limited
benefits such as health insurance and an opportunity to participate in a 401 (k) plan.
