Location: Home based with frequent travel within Europe

We are working with a leading Energy OEM who due to continuous growth are seeking an experienced Field Application Engineer who will be responsible for promoting the company’s products and services.

Our client is seeking a candidate who will thrive in a fast-paced, high technology, manufacturing environment and who will adapt to working well in a matrix structure, across all levels of the organization. The Field application engineer will provide technical support to both internal and external customers, using your expertise in the company products and services to drive new business opportunities.

Reporting to the Business Development Director, your role and responsibilities will include:

• Identifying new opportunities within your region, industry, or specialized technology
• Identify new product opportunities based on industry trends and applications
• Provide technical support to internal and external customers with their interconnect requirements
• Grow the business in your region by maintaining exceptional customer service and professionalism
• Keep update your sales pipeline and CRM system
• Prepare and deliver technical presentations to explain to customers how products and services work
• Work with the customers and engineers to ensure the equipment meets the system requirements
• Regularly travel to customer sites to understand their requirements and drive new business opportunities
• Become an expert in company products and services

Qualifications & Experience:

• You will have a Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering discipline, equivalent vocational training or experience in an engineering role
• 3-5 years directly related experience desired within sectors such as Hazardous Environments, Power Generation, Renewables, Nuclear, Gas Power or Interconnectors
• Should have the ability to understand technical drawing and basic mechanical principles.
• Ability to represent the company in a professional manner
• High energy, self-starter
• Solid organisational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
• Good organisational skills, management skills and ability to be self-motivated
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with high level of confidence
