The Field Supervisor works in an interdisciplinary project team in the
automotive industry and will be responsible for the onshore electrical
installation team. The candidate may work in with similar technologies with
other industries like Industry logistic.
Tasks include temporary project-relevant leadership of
internal and external site team members and the role as the Project Manager's
chief functional support person during the course of projects.
This position takes care for the realization of
customer specifications and will be monitoring compliance with these standards
during installation implementation.
The Field Supervisor also bears a shared
responsibility for compliance with relevant installation project budget targets
as well as EHS (Environment, Health and Safety).
This is your role.
- Installation and
labor budgeting based on experience and site activity overview. - Installation
Planning & Controlling, task completion and documentation. - Coordination of
manpower resources in the project in alignment with the project management -
Temporary technical team leadership for installation including safety relevant
aspects. - Shared
responsibility for the installation and material project budget. - Installation
Customer Management which involves the customer in decision-making processes
and keeps the `project manager regularly informed about the site progress. - Develops
additional business opportunities out of the current project based on contract
and change management. - The candidate
would support during the offer phase with budgeting and scope description based
on the customer specifications. - Risk &
Opportunity Management where the candidate identifies and evaluates all
possibilities to improve the results of the current project. This includes
proactive participation in identification processes of possibilities to improve
the business opportunities together with the avoidance of risks in the project
execution. - Claim Management
in support of the project manager for identifying site claims based on schedule
and contractual obligations.
Required Skills.
- Hands on
proficiency with Automotive customers/suppliers of 5-8 years in planning,
organizing, delivering and completing responsibilities as listed above in a
project-based work site. - Working knowledge
of mechanical Field supervision (schedule, progress evaluation, manpower
planning, etc.) is required. - Management skills
including Team Development, Motivation including Safety Management - Installation
experience of knowledge of Body shops, Conveyors, Storage and Retrieval systems
(including :Technologies, Processes, Procedures, Regulation) with automobile
producer or supplier. - Industrial safety
regulations: knowledge of area-specific industrial safety and regulations with
respect to the project-specific implementation - Familiarity with
developing a Site Safety plan - MS-Office
Applications: Excel, Word, MS-Project - Product knowledge
of Siemens hardware - E-plan and CAD
drawing reading analysis, Revision capabilities (red lines) for engineering
department. - Individual must
possess a valid Driver’s license in good standing. - Willingness to
work a flexible schedule (nights and weekends, as needed) - Education: High
school diploma required; Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college
or vocational school - Languages: Spanish
(mother tongue, native), English (C1), German (B2) is a plus.
