Internal Role title : FRA Associate
Location : Barcelona, Spain. Hybrid
About the Role :
Would you like to join us as a Financial Reporting Accountant? You will ensure accurate reporting of financial information to all users of information in accordance with statutory requirements, company standards and policies, for areas under your responsibility.
Additionally, you’ll also drive the analysis and follow up of all the balance sheet account related to your areas. As you'll be a key player during the month-end closing and during any project implementation.
Key responsibilities :
- Ensure compliance with the IFRS and local statutory of accounting principles as well as Novartis Accounting Manual for all the transaction related to their responsibilities.
- Provide support in preparation of the financial information of Plan Proforma reporting process for the company and consolidation of the other division’s information.
- Active participation in Month End Closing related tasks.
- Work with managers to support financial activities, decision making and general projects.
- Prepare analysis or reporting with particular emphasis on accuracy, compliance and timeliness of data provided.
- Provide all data needed for internal (Financial Consolidation and Reporting System) and external reporting (including statutory accounts, national statistics and tax information) in a timely and accurate manner.
- Relation with Internal and External auditors.
- Contribute to key projects at country.

Role Requirements
Essential requirements :
- Bachelors in Business Administration / Finance or Economics or equivalent.
- Experience in an Accounting and Reporting team with consolidation / statutory annual accounts.
- Knowledge in financial accounting, IFRS and ERP / SAP environments.
- Excellent analytical skills and quality and impact focused.
- Ability to decide and simplify processes.
- Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
- Fluent written and spoken English & Spanish.
- Previous experience as auditor beneficial but not essential.
