Additional Information: This hotel is owned and operated by an independent franchisee, MHM AIRPORT BCN, S.L. The franchisee is a separate company and a separate employer from Marriott International, Inc. The franchisee solely controls all aspects of the hotel’s employment policies and practices, including hiring, firing, discipline, staffing, compensation, benefits, and all other terms and conditions of employment. If you accept a position at this hotel, you will be employed by a franchisee and not by Marriott International, Inc.

JOB SUMMARY

Four Points by Sheraton Barcelona Airport. A brand-new hotel featuring 202 rooms and multiple event spaces in Vila decans, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to lead our team and ensure the success of our latest venture. As the Hotel Director, you will be responsible for the overall management and operation of our newly constructed hotel in Vila decans. This role involves overseeing day-to-day activities, ensuring exceptional guest satisfaction, and maximizing revenue opportunities. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive hospitality experience, and a proven track record of successfully managing upscale hotels.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Leadership:

  • Oversee all aspects of hotel operations, including front desk, housekeeping, food and beverage, and event management.

  • Implement and maintain high standards of service and operational efficiency.

  • Ensure compliance with brand standards and local regulations.

Guest Experience:

  • Foster a guest-centric culture and consistently deliver exceptional customer service.

  • Address and resolve guest concerns promptly and effectively.

  • Implement initiatives to enhance overall guest satisfaction and loyalty.

Financial Management:

  • Develop and execute strategies to achieve revenue and profit goals.

  • Monitor budgets, financial reports, and key performance indicators.

  • Implement cost control measures without compromising service quality.

Sales and Marketing:

  • Collaborate with the sales and marketing team to drive room bookings and event sales.

  • Revenue skills.

  • Develop and implement promotional activities to attract new business.

  • Build and maintain relationships with key clients and partners.

Team Management:

  • Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing team.

  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.

  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and implement professional development plans.

Event Management:

  • Oversee the planning and execution of events in our dedicated event spaces.

  • Ensure seamless coordination with clients, catering, and other relevant departments.

  • Maximize revenue opportunities through effective event management.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Hospitality Management or a related field.

  • Proven experience as a Hotel Director or in a similar executive leadership role.

  • Strong understanding of hotel operations, sales, and marketing.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Results-driven with a focus on achieving financial targets.

  • Familiarity with industry trends and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Job Requirements

  • 5+ year’s experience: Demonstrated success in the management of focused service hotels, showcasing a comprehensive understanding of the industry.

  • Local Market Experience: Knowledge of the local market trends and dynamics, enabling strategic decision-making for the hotel’s success.

  • Revenue Management: Proven experience managing hotels with €5M or greater in revenue, emphasizing a results-driven approach to financial success.

  • MICE Management: Experience in successfully overseeing Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions (MICE) operations within a hotel setting.

  • Commercial Abilities: Strong commercial knowledge with a track record of driving revenue through effective sales and marketing strategies.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and public speaking skills to engage with guests, clients, and internal teams effectively.

  • Language Proficiency: Advanced in both English and Spanish is essential. Additional languages are considered a plus.
