In the CoE of Advanced Analytics in Fujitsu we are currently looking for a Next Generation Sequencing Data Specialist to continue the growth of our team, leveraging one of our projects in Genomics and developing new data driven solutions to address new business challenges of our customers.
If you are used to thinking in an analytical, quantitative, and creative way. You are curious by nature and enjoy interacting daily with colleagues and clients, plus having excellent communication skills in Spanish and an upper intermediate level of English, do not hesitate to apply!
As our future NGS Data Specialist you will:
Benchmark and validate new pipelines for genetic diagnosis.
Coordinate with the team to define and apply the best genetic diagnosis algorithms considering the input data for each situation.
Provide consultation as a genetic specialist.
Work hand in hand with a multidisciplinary group of data engineers to set up the genomic data strategy.
Keep up to date with the latest publications and trends in the field of genetics.
Your profile
You have at least 3 years of experience, a bachelor’s degree in Biology or Medicine, and/or a Master’s degree related to Genetics.
You have experience analyzing Next Generation Sequencing data (panels, exomes (WES), and genomes (WGS).
You have experience in screening for potentially pathogenic variants and writing genetic reports .
You have experience of workflow co-ordination and case management in a clinical genetics department.
You have experience in quality analysis for genetic diagnosis .
You have experience in the interpretation and classification of phenotypes in genetic diseases and the use of associated databases such as HPO, MONDO or similar.
You design genetic analysis workflows based on functional requirements and data needs.
You have experience working with mutational , gene expression , biomedical or clinical datasets .
You have experience using and interpreting pathogenicity predictors, ACMG criteria, and IGV visualization .
You are used to work hand in hand with the bioinformatics team as the Data Specialist.
You have experience with Git or other version control tools.
You have experience working with Agile Methodologies , Scrum , and some knowledge of DevOps .
It will be considered as a plus:
Ph.D. or Scientific publications in the Genomics area.
Knowledge or experience in bioinformatics.
Knowledge or experience in other genetic techniques and data.
Experience working in clinical or research networks in the genomics area.
