JOB SUMMARY:Provide support to the UPL NAM Human Resources team by learning to perform routine HR Business Partner and Talent Acquisition activities that will ensure business excellence for the organization. This includes assisting with the HR audits, maintain employee files, recruiting, onboarding, communications, employee engagement, etc

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Learns the operations aspects of the facility and how HR supports the business operations.
  • Assists in on-boarding new employees, distribution of new hire welcome kits, developing new programs, and employee communications.
  • Assists in coordinating new hire orientation and scheduling.
  • Performs process analysis for current HR processes and procedures. Suggests potential alternatives to improve efficiency and timeliness.
  • Supports recruiting process: Updating job postings/social media, posting of positions, vetting applications and resumes, organizing interviews with shortlisted candidates.
  • Assists in updating company databases by inputting new employee contact information and employment details and maintaining current employee files.
  • Assist with monthly data audit, ensuring all system data is concurrent between ADP and MyUPL HRIS systems
  • Works on University Relations by communicating with various school, posting positions, and increasing visibility of internships.
  • Works on HR projects as assigned, including but not limiting to Employee Value Proposition, employee surveys, coordinating employee events and more.
  • Responding to staff inquiries regarding HR policies, employee benefits and other HR-related matters.
  • Participate in Employee Engagement committee, assisting with remote contests, events etc.
  • Perform monthly review of exit interview data to identify trends/opportunities
  • Assist with other tasks & projects as assigned by manager

 

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: 

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Communications or related major.
  • Must be comfortable taking direction, working independently, and managing multiple projects.
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment. 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Proficient Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) required.
  • Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be detail oriented.
