Index Analyst

BME and SIX are offering a wide range of equity and fixed income indices for the domestic markets in Spain and Switzerland.
Besides the well-known IBEX 35 for Spain and the SMI for Switzerland further sector, thematic or custom indices are offered.
The indices serve as underlying for various financial products : Exchange Traded Funds, derivatives, structured products, and mandates.
The Index team is responsible for the overall value chain from product design, implementation and launch, the on-going maintenance, and the licensing and account management activities for the indices.
Our Index Operations team is responsible for the daily management of the indices, application of corporate actions and the creation of new indices and client support.

What you will do
- index Administration (monitoring and maintenance of indices at index reviews, application of corporate actions and index production)
- elaboration of monthly / daily reports and updating of process manuals
- studies regarding index methodology
- creation of new indices, back testing of index strategies and project collaboration in the development of new index products
- helpdesk support to client and stakeholder groups (email / phone)
- testing of system improvements
What you bring
- bachelor's degree in Economics, Business Administration or any related field. Studies related with the financial sector or Capital Markets will be a plus
- 1st working experience in the financial sector
- experience working and / or studying in an international environment will be highly valuable
- good command of MS Excel
- high level of oral and written English and Spanish (B2 minimum)
- proactive, motivated and open to learn personality with good teamwork skills
