About The Role:
If you are a natural problem solver with a passion for QA and test automation and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, HP has opportunity for you in our testing automation team.
Responsibilities:
- Participates as a member of an automation testing team with other testing automation engineers to develop reliable and cost-effective automated testing solutions for different software and firmware products.
- Elaborates plans, tracks and schedules for automation testing deliverables (depending on the position/just for seniors).
- Collaborates in exhaustive automation test result analysis and bugs reporting.
- Proactively engages in different testing automation efforts including UI testing, end-to-end testing, load testing, integration testing, backend and API testing
Knowledge and Skills:
- Experience in software development, preferentially typescript and python.
- Understanding of software development principles, methodologies and best practices
- Good designing and programming skills with Computer Science fundamentals in algorithm design, problem solving, and complexity analysis.
- Understanding software quality assurance methodology, tools and processes.
- Good written and verbal communication skills. Spanish and English
- Experience in, at least, one programming language such as Python, TypeScript/JavaScript or Java.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with several testing frameworks.
- Experienced in backend API testing automation and in user interface testing automation.
- Shows creativity and initiative.
- Experienced in Agile or Scrum software development methodologies.
- Good collaboration, reporting, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of code quality, design patterns and architectural styles (depending on the position/just for seniors).
