Responsibilities

The Opportunity

Leadership of the Central Services agenda and Team in charge for:

  • Testing and executing User Access and SoD Controls for centralized IT legacy applications (current scope 30 applications in LATAM, 42 for FLNA, 3 for Global, and 8 for GTM, eCommerce 25)
  • Lead Team in charge of leading deployment of approach to classify and implement monitoring and security over non-structured data (data handled out of PepsiCo IT systems embedded environment) for Europe and LATAM

The role’s accountabilities include:

  • Lead execution of centralization initiatives and govern service delivery teams
  • Understand the framework, policy requirements related scope of work, including objective, risks and the importance of the compliance on Data Classification and User Access and SoD controls
  • Process Owner for User Access and SoD controls, including GCS portal update
  • Lead and track rollout of Data Class asessment across market units and support on definition/tracking of remediation plans
  • Drive Control Optimization by more effective and efficient WoW, and support implementation of automation initiatives
  • Govern effectiveness for controls centralized with global service model
  • Assist audit preparation and requirements to centralized control services
  • Maintain an audit trail of control execution and testing, and status of Data Class assessments completion and remediation
  • Remediate control deficiencies
  • Identify areas for further improvements and optimization for both control execution and testing
  • Lead an oversee process for centralizing new applications (knowledge transfer), facilitate sessions with actual Controls Owners & Process Owners, ensure complete and up-to-date control documentation (SOPs & STPs), ensure audit trail is maintained, ensure team has proper system access.
  • Lead expansion of the IT Apps and Data Class central services and track and report progress of new centralization initiatives and timely inform stakeholders
  • Lead and facilitate quarterly control results reporting and own remediation of any identified control gaps

The position requires effective working in partnership with diverse stakeholders (e.g. GPEX, Finance Control, IT functions). Accordingly, end-user focus and stakeholder management capability is required, in order to ensure strong service level

Your Impact

As an IT Applications Controls & Data Class Assoc Manager your scope would consist of:

1. Lead execution of centralization initiatives and govern service delivery Teams

  • Interact with GPEX Global Legacy Team to identify opportunities and lead centralization projects
  • Understand the framework, policy requirements related scope of work, including objective, risks and the importance of the compliance on Data Classification and User Access and SoD controls
  • Work with market contacts to identify opportunities to process optimization and centralization (centralize/harmonize/optimize/automate)
  • Ensure engagement and alignment with Local Key Stakeholders and IT, Legal, Information Security during the whole Data Classification exercise, including highest levels on the organization (Directors and Executives)
  • Participate in designing frameworks, operating model and adoption methods for LATAM/Europe
  • Propose intake scope for centralized execution and/or testing and lead knowledge transfer to centralized services team

2. Process owner for User Access and SOD controls for legacy applications

3. Propose and implement harmonization and efficiency opportunities.

  • Drive Control Optimization by more effective and efficient WoW, and support implementation of automation initiatives
  • Review business processes and identify manual steps that can be automated
  • Work with key stakeholders to implement automation in way we execute and/or test controls

4. Govern compliance against policies of centralized services

  • Asess the effectiveness of control execution performed by delivery Team for all application controls in scope, and consolidate quarterly reports
  • Lead and track rollout of Data Class asessment across market units and support on definition/tracking of remediation plans
  • Provide with compliance dashboards, status and remediation reports
  • Train control owners and/or service delivery teams to execute and test controls, identify capabilities gaps and coordinate actions or elevate, accordingly
  • Design remediation plan for failed controls and provide recommendations and guidance to market contacts and control owners/delivery teams for execution
  • Ensure timely and accurate communication with Leadership

5. Other activities include:

  • Controls certification and audit support
  • Oversee trouble-shooting assisting/aligning solutions with IT, end-users or other stakeholders
  • Ensure promptly communication and escalate, when required
  • Target improvements and execute them, when possible
  • Build and maintain a strong collaborative network of stakeholders including (but not limited to) Business applications Owners, end-user community, and Business Controllership community
Qualifications

Who Are We Looking For? 

Experience

  • Work Experience: 5 years, preferred Audit / IT Security /Controls past experience
  • Fluent Spanish and English (read/write) is a must
  • Hands-on experience of working in an operating business
  • Experience working in both IT and Business Control functions
  • Experience of working with or auditing Application Controls
  • Entrepreneurial and risk-taking skills
  • Experience of interacting with various levels in organization, including interaction with senior leaders (LG1-LG4)
  • Client and delivery orientation
  • Positive attitude and sincere team player
  • Self-motivated and willing to work in an energetic, fast-paced environment
  • Manage deadlines / timeframes, proactively escalating issues as needed
  • Ability to effectively engage and work with a global team
  • Knowledge of Portuguese is a plus
  • Understanding of the GCS (COSO) framework, auditing standards, and financial/operations controls
  • Technical expertise in application controls including user access and segregation of duties
  • Knowledge of/experience with PowerBi, Tableau, Python, RPAs, PowerApps
  • Ability to work independently across many levels in the organization
