The Financial Analyst will function within the Global Infrastructure Services organization. This role will be responsible for developing, interpreting, and implementing financial concepts for financial planning and control.
This includes performing technical analysis to determine present and future financial performance and gathering, analyzing, preparing, and summarizing recommendations for financial plans, trended future requirements, and operating forecasts.
Responsibilities :
- Lead budget and forecast processes across the IT Organization
- Lead small and medium sized projects to develop or enhance products and services related to budgeting / forecasting, chargeback, capacity management, cost optimization and reporting.
- Provide clear reporting on IT Infrastructure spend to all appropriate internal stakeholders and facilitate re-occurring meetings to review cost with key stakeholders.
- Monitor expenses to quickly detect, investigate, and escalate anomalies and unplanned spikes.
- Analyze, report, and produce insights from global budgeted tools
- Track GIS vendor commitments and renewals and regularly review with stakeholders
- Partner with Finance to ensure GIS continues to follow PPG best practices
- Must be able to communicate to and participate with management on financial decisions
- Lead GIS financial datapoint collection across the organization for comparative surveys and record-keeping
Qualifications :
- BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, Engineering, Finance, or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in an IT, Project Management, or Finance related discipline
- Must be able to work without close supervision
- Strong analytical and conceptual skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including technical writing.
- Foundational understanding of core finance principles and corporate accounting processes
- Basic understanding of project management methodology and best practices
- Experience with reporting technologies including Microsoft PowerBI
