The position
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our manufacturing team in Vitoria-Gasteiz. The successful candidate will leverage their expertise in Lean Manufacturing principles, SAP proficiency, and experience in enhancing production efficiency to optimize our manufacturing processes.
This role requires a proactive individual who can drive continuous improvement initiatives and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Main Responsibilities
- Implement Lean Manufacturing methodologies to identify and eliminate waste, streamline processes, and improve overall production efficiency.
- Analyze current manufacturing processes and workflows to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies for optimization.
- Collaborate with production teams to implement process improvements, utilizing tools such as value stream mapping, Kaizen events, and 5S methodology.
- Utilize SAP software to monitor production metrics, analyze data, and identify opportunities for optimization.
- Lead and participate in cross-functional teams to address production challenges, drive innovation, and ensure the successful implementation of improvement initiatives.
- Develop and maintain documentation related to process improvements, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and work instructions.
- Conduct training sessions to educate production staff on new processes, tools, and methodologies.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress, evaluate the effectiveness of improvement efforts, and drive performance excellence.
- Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to optimize supply chain processes and improve material flow.
- Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to manufacturing and process improvement.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 2 -3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with a focus on process improvement and production efficiency.
Ideally power electronics or automotive.
- Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing principles and methodologies.
- Experience using SAP or similar ERP software for production planning and control.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex data sets and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Proven track record of implementing process improvement initiatives and delivering measurable results.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of Six Sigma methodologies is a plus.
- English is required at least B2.
