Job description
The Monitoring Engineer takes a proactive approach, designing telemetry strategies, implementing comprehensive monitoring systems, and leveraging advanced tools to gain real-time insights and identify potential issues before they escalate.
As a Monitoring Engineer, you will be responsible for building sophisticated monitoring dashboards and automating existing manual processes and workflows.
In addition, you will advocate an observability-first mind-set and contribute towards the development of best practices for monitoring, logging and tracing.
What you will do :
- Design and implement comprehensive monitoring systems to continuously assess system health, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
- Work with the Engineering teams to plan and coordinate new Observability requirements to implement in the new platform developments, infrastructure and services.
- Assist in devising a global observability and monitoring strategy.
- Ensure all areas that are required to be monitored, are covered by the minimum standards defined.
- Detecting Anomalies and Troubleshooting Incidents.
- Close these gaps with the cross-functional skills necessary to address the challenges and drive synergy among different domains : like infrastructure, Applications (APM) and Networking.

Requirements
Qualifications
- Computer Science degree or related IT field experience.
- 1 3 years of experience in Observability and Site Reliability.
- 2+ Years of experience in Enterprise Application Development, microservices & API’s development.
- Experience in Application Performance Monitoring (APM) and Infrastructure Monitoring for Different Hybrid Business Applications and Infrastructure (Elastic or others)
- Working knowledge of versioning (git) and scripting.
- Knowledge of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI / CD) pipelines
Bonus if you have :
- Experience with AWS, and the management of cloud-based infrastructure
- Experience working in an Infrastructure as a Code (IaaC) environment.
- Strong understanding of Kubernetes and other container-based architectures
