Description

Scopely is looking for a Senior Data Analyst to join our People Analytics team in Barcelona on a hybrid / remote basis OR hybrid basis working 1-2 days a week from the hub.

In this role, you will focus on delivering analytics that align with our business objectives and address key organizational challenges.

Your role will involve enhancing People analytics through sophisticated reporting, dashboard development, and complex data manipulation, driving actionable solutions to improve workforce effectiveness and foster a data-driven culture.

We prioritize transparency, simplicity in conveying complex data, and strict adherence to data privacy, aiming to empower leaders with insights for informed decisions on talent and organizational development.

Serve as a strategic consultant for People Analytics, working closely with stakeholders to address complex challenges in the talent and HR space through data-led decision-making.

This establishes the foundational role of the analyst in guiding the organization with analytics

  • Utilize Python and SQL for advanced data analytics and manipulation. Highlighting technical skills early sets the stage for understanding how data is processed and analyzed
  • Perform both predictive and descriptive analytics to solve people-related business problems, informing senior leadership of potential impacts.

This shows the application of the technical skills in addressing specific organizational challenges

Develop and publish comprehensive workforce-related reports that include key performance metrics, trends, and patterns affecting employee performance, engagement, and retention.

This demonstrates the delivery of analytics insights to the organization

  • Design and maintain visual dashboards using tools like Looker to convey complex data in an easily digestible format. Visual representation is key to making data accessible to stakeholders
  • Measure and report on the impact, progress, and effectiveness of change management and business readiness initiatives through data-driven storytelling.

This emphasizes the role of analytics in evaluating and communicating the success of implemented strategies

  • Facilitate workshops or training sessions to build analytics capabilities within the team. This step focuses on the development and empowerment of the team, enhancing the organization's overall analytics capabilities
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of People Team strategies, products, and services based on stakeholder feedback.

It's important to show the iterative nature of strategy development based on analytics insights

Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Accounting, IT, and other key departments to align data analytics with broader business objectives.

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in analytics, particularly with a focus on People Analytics
  • Robust experience with SQL is essential
  • Proficiency in object-oriented programming languages, specifically Python
  • Demonstrated ability with data visualization tools and a strong capability for data storytelling, particularly with Looker
  • Full professional fluency in English
  • This role seeks a candidate who not only excels in technical skills but also possesses a keen insight into data-driven storytelling, enhancing the employee experience through strategic data analysis and insights

Bonus Points

  • Significant experience with HR Information System (HRIS) Reporting Modules such as Workday and SuccessFactors is highly regarded
  • A deep understanding of Employee Experience Technology, including platforms like Qualtrics and Peakon, is considered an asset
  • A basic grasp of Agile methodology
  • Educational degree / experience in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, or a comparable field
