Are you passionate about renewable energy and the environment? We are seeking a dedicated Power Electrics Engineer to join our team in the Renewables & Environment industry.

As a Power Electrics Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining power systems that harness renewable energy sources.

YOUR TASKS

  • Responsible for new and ongoing developments of Low Voltage power cables, from specification to prototyping to serial introduction and improvement.
  • Calculate relevant data and parametrize LV power cables and own the data administration over their entire lifecycle (PDM / PLM).
  • Analyze and evaluate relevant standards for LV power cables.
  • Plan, perform, evaluate and document tests for LV power cables, both on component as well as on turbine level, both in the laboratory or in the field.
  • Create related technical documentation, e.g. specifications or technical notifications.
  • Collaborate closely with both external suppliers and service providers, as well as internal departments (Project Management, Sourcing, Service, Quality, Health and Safety etc.).

YOUR PROFILE

  • Electrical Engineering degree or vocational training, preferably in the low voltage field.
  • Professional experience in an international industrial environment is advantageous.
  • Experience with LV power cables functionality and requirements, related to both development and testing, is highly appreciated.
  • Experience with EPLAN (e.g. Harness) or similar CAD tools and with relevant PDM / PLM / ERP software tools is positively appraised, but not mandatory.
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written. Additional skills in Spanish and / or German are nice to have.
  • You are proactive, assertive and a good team player with a customer- and solution-oriented working mind-set.
  • Intercultural understanding and thriving on working collaboratively within cross-functional and global teams.
  • Willing to travel to suppliers and on site, mainly for testing purposes (10-20% of working time).
