Principal Statistical Programmer

Proclinical are recruiting a Principal Statistical Programmer for a pharmaceutical corporation. This role is on a permanent basis and is located in Barcelona.

The client is focused on transforming the lives of those who suffer from rare illnesses.

Responsibilities :

• Offer leadership and training to peer and junior-level programmers.
• Serve as the main point of contact for the division when required to guarantee that division standards are executes in all studies.
• Provide notions and concepts towards the optimisation of SOPs.
• Develop and validate programs that create efficient tables, listings, figures / graphs using the company's specifications.
• Monitor / handle external vendors and contract programmers.
• You will review, uphold, and approve protocol specific documents when needed.
• Other duties may be assigned to this role.

Key Skills and Requirements :

• Educated to a degree level in biostatistics, statistics or any other similar field.
• At least 7 years of experience in statistical programming within a biotechnology, pharmaceutical or contract research industry.
• Able to resolve issues.
• Works well both independently and in a team.
• Communication skills both verbally and in writing.
• Knowledge of using SAS / Base, SAS / Macro, SAS / STAT.
• Expertise on SAS / Graph, and SAS / SQL.
