I am seeking a skilled visionary Firmware, Software, and Electronic Architect to lead the design and development of cutting-edge systems that power their innovative micro-mobility solutions .
In this role, you'll have the opportunity to architect and implement firmware, software, and Electronic systems from the ground up, driving forward technological advancements that enhance the efficiency, safety, and sustainability of urban transportation.
Tareas
Reporting to the COO / CIO, This role requires a strong understanding of embedded systems, software development methodologies, and Electronic hardware and electric (low / mid voltage) design principles.
- Architect and design firmware, software, and Electronic systems for embedded applications, ensuring compatibility, scalability, and reliability.
- Develop system-level requirements, specifications and architecture documentation based on project objectives and customer / market needs.
- Lead and participate in design reviews, providing technical guidance and expertise to ensure adherence to best practices and standards.
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to define system architecture, select components, and optimize performance, power consumption, and cost.
- Develop and maintain firmware and software frameworks, libraries, and tools to facilitate efficient development and reuse across projects.
- Implement and debug firmware and software modules, optimizing code for performance, size, and resource utilization.
- Conduct testing and validation activities to verify system functionality, performance, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Provide technical support to cross-functional teams and suppliers, including troubleshooting issues, analyzing root causes, and implementing corrective actions.
- Stay current with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices related to firmware, software, and Electronic design.
- Designing, inspecting, testing, and updating electronic systems, components, equipment, and software.
- Observing existing processes and making recommendations for improvement.
- Establishing relationships with staff, vendors, suppliers, and other professionals in the field.
- Writing specifications, instructions, and reports, and handling other required administrative duties.
Requisitos
- Bachelor’s Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience (minimum 3 years) in firmware, software, electric and Electronic design, with a focus on embedded systems and real-time apps.
- Experience in design recommended, such as C / C++, Python, and assembly language for embedded platforms.
- Understanding of microcontroller / microprocessor architectures, peripheral interfaces, and hardware / software co-design.
- Proficiency in electronic design tools (e.g., schematic capture, PCB layout, simulation) and experience with hardware debugging tools.
- Familiarity with embedded operating systems (e.g., FreeRTOS, Embedded Linux) and communication protocols (e.g., UART, SPI, I2C, Ethernet, CAN).
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git), issue tracking systems, and continuous integration / continuous deployment (CI / CD) pipelines.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop effective solutions.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with wireless communication technologies (e.g., Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Cellular) and IoT (Internet of Things) systems.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and practices for embedded systems.
- Experience with FPGA (Field-Programmable Gate Array) design and implementation.
- Certifications relevant to firmware, software, and Electronic design (e.g., Certified Embedded Systems Engineer, Certified Software Development Professional).
