Santander Asset Manager is looking for a Product Governance & Regulatory projects Analyst, based in our Boadilla del Monte office.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

Within the Retail Products & Customer Solutions for SAM, the Product governance and Regulatory Projects Analyst will help to create and maintains SAM Global Product Catalogue, coordinate documentation and analyze products and modifications to existing products to be submitted to the Global Product Committee and coordinate and help implementation of regulatory initiatives mainly through SAM.

He / she has to guarantee that all the Products launched in SAM geographies are submitted to the GPAC either via the foraml path or the informative path, maintaining a data base and a product calendar with the documentation and approvals.

Will provide value to the organization helping in the approval process and optimization of the product range, evaluating appropriateness of the products being launched in every SAM jurisdiction, exploring cross selling opportunities and best practices sharing.

We need someone like you to help us in different fronts :

A) Global Product Governance :

  • Support the local product development process
  • Implementing and maintaining a common product development framework across countries
  • Elaborating and keeping record of new product templates for the analysis of new products initiatives
  • Coordinate the Product approval process for all SAM Countries, helping local countries during the preparation of the materials for the different approval forums.
  • Elaborating the documentation and the minutes of the Global Product Committee
  • Will be responsible for managing the relationship with the Global team of the Bank regarding all products presented and helps answering queries with the SAM entity involved

B) Regulatory Projects

Together with the Global Head of Product Governance and Regulatory Projects, understand, monitor, coordinate and even help on the implemention on regualtory changes that affects the company (ie ESG, pricing review, Assement of Value, Retal Investment Strategy, SDR, TFCD, working together with the relevant global and local areas (R&C, Legal, Investments, Distribution...).

C) Relationship Management

Establishing and maintaining effective relationships with third-party providers, including but not limited to, external legal counsel, fund data providers, consultants, external managers.

EXPERIENCE

  • 2+ years of experience within the financial industry, banking or asset management. Ideally experience with Luxembourg funds.
  • Product documentation. Ability to manage complexity and deliver solutions to a tight deadline
  • Proven track record of managing and delivering new products and product changes within a large, highly complex, cross-functional environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to translate technical, operational and regulatory information into understandable terms

EDUCATION

Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration or equivalent

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE

  • UCITS and AIFs
  • Regulatory developments
  • Good understanding of the product development lifecycle
  • Fluent in project management disciplines
  • Being a real team player with an ability to integrate quickly into an existing team is essential.
  • Self starter with can do attitude.
  • Strong leadership, influencing and analytical skills required.
  • Ability to instil structure, process, accountability, delivery and client-focus
