Due to an internal move, we are looking for a new colleague to join our Product Quality Team in Product & Purchasing, a global platform department which works across TUI’s source markets.

Ensuring holiday satisfaction is a core focus to retain customers and enhance the profitability of our business. A key aspect of achieving this goal is maintaining a strong emphasis on quality within the product team.

The Product Quality Manager (Building Work) will play a crucial role in ensuring that we meet customer expectations throughout the program by monitoring building work and major refurbishment projects, with the aim of minimizing any potential impact on customers.

In addition, you will actively support improvement opportunities in our ways of working, striving to increase satisfaction by driving potential process enhancements forward

What You will be doing :

As Product Quality Manager (Building Work), you will oversee the monitoring of all new build & major refurbishment projects across key source markets.

You will ensure clear project plans are in place against key milestones, identifying risk and ensuring any delays are communicated in a timely manner.

This will include regular and transparent reporting out to key stakeholders on progress of all projects. You will escalate concerns to enable timely decision making, minimising customer dissatisfaction and protecting the TUI brand, at the same time balancing commercial needs.

  • You will support in the design and agreement of efficient process to ensure properties will be customer ready for opening, or to minimise any adverse impact during construction or renovation works.
  • You will collaborate closely with TUI’s third-party construction consultants, ensuring service level agreement is delivered and focus remains on high priority projects.
  • The Product Quality Manager will have good knowledge of our customer requirements across all products. You will will have a constant view of customer satisfaction through the monitoring of CSQ results, customer review sites and customer complaints and compensation.

You will analyse customer feedback, shortfalls and trends, working in close collaboration with colleagues in key business areas, such as the wider Quality Team, Product, Purchasing, TUI Musement, Concept, Content, Customer Experience and Holiday Change.

You will identify areas for improvement and resolution of issues, contributing to the design of relevant customer policy and comms, ultimately increasing customer satisfaction.

  • When hotels do not open as scheduled, or are misrepresented on our selling systems, you will investigate, or where appropriate, assist others to investigate the circumstances and causes of the shortcomings and recommend necessary steps to prevent a recurrence
  • Where volume of Consultancy and Project Work is high, and to alleviate any potential risk to the business, you will work flexibly, supporting colleagues across Product Quality with the delivery of key projects.
  • You will continuously investigate, develop and promote quality improvement opportunities with key stakeholders throughout the business, developing a culture of continuous improvement and customer focus.

What we are looking for :

  • Well-developed analytical & technical IT skills (excel etc) with the ability to build presentations
  • Experience of identifying and managing business risk
  • Good communication skills and strong customer focus combined with commercial awareness
  • Knowledge of the overseas operation & our customer requirements or operational previous experience in the hotel industry
  • Excellent written and interpersonal skills and the ability to challenge constructively and influence accordingly
  • Effective team working and networking skills and the ability to work independently using own initiative
  • Ability to cope with pressure, make informed decision and work to tight deadlines, excellent project management skills and ability to develop process and drive improvements
  • A knowledge of basic health and safety requirements (desirable but not essential)
  • The flexibility to travel and work outside normal office hours as required
