Project Engineer - Automation, Cement/Data Center Industry, Cheonan

As a Project Engineer for Process Automation Business Area in Cheonan, South Korea, you will make technical recommendations in various phases of customer projects to ensure successful delivery of project deliverables on time, within budget and in line with quality and safety guidelines.

This position reports to

Project Operations Manager

Your responsibilities

• Assisting project managers and project lead engineers in technical reviews and discussions with customers, partners, subcontractors and vendors
• Assisting contract managers with claims, customer specifications and safety standards
• Creating and delivering the work plan and budget, as well as risk assessments relevant to your engineering discipline
• Helping customers resolve technical issues both remotely and at customer sites. (Domestic and customer overseas sites)
• Developing your management and communication skills by working with entry-level employees
• Maintaining and enhancing customer satisfaction by providing excellent service at all stages of the project

Your background

• A bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronic, Automation control or a similar field
• 1 to 3 years of experience in Cement, Metal and Paper, working as Project Engineer with automation relevant products or technologies
• Sound knowledge of engineering techniques, processes and tools, including Basic Electrical and electronic technologies
• A strong focus on safe work practices and dedication to following all relevant workplace safety guidelines
• A high level of self-motivation, curiosity and desire to learn about new technologies
• A collaborative, solution-focused approach, and strong written and spoken communication skills
• Intermediate English or higher write and speaking, and native in Korean
