Purpose of the Role

As a QA Engineer, your role is to ensure the quality of software products and solutions by improving existing or creating new processes, ensuring there is proper testing techniques applied and test coverage, drive test automation, identifying bugs and coaching the team on the importance of quality and supporting them in adopting changes.

You will be responsible for designing and executing test cases, reporting issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure a high level of product quality.

Your goal is to contribute to the delivery of reliable and user-friendly software that meets customer requirements and enhances the overall user experience.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Help the team understand how they are progressing towards ensuring quality, identify where are the main improvement areas, and help the team improve as a whole and deliver higher-quality products
  • Build, execute, and maintain an effective testing plan that is fully aligned with the development cycles including regression and new feature testing.
  • Report to the stakeholders how the plan is executed.
  • Understand the business needs and support the product teams through the QA team to achieve the objectives.

Requirements : Essential Skills

Essential Skills

  • Educated to degree level from a numerate discipline (preferably Computer Science)
  • At least 3 + (depending on level required) years of experience working full time as a Automation engineer
  • Experience in a coding language such Java and / or javascript
  • Experience with automation tools such as TestCafe, Cypress or Selenium
  • Experience with Jenkins or other CICD tools
  • Hands-on experience with basics of HTTP / HTTPS protocol for back-end testing
  • Passion and commitment to quality

Desired skills :

  • Testing certificates
  • Agile and / or SCRUM experience
  • Experience in error-guessing, exploratory, or scenario testing
  • Experience with AWS and Docker
  • Experience with RestAssured framework for back-end testing on Java.
  • Experience with Postman tool for back-end testing
  • Experience using Git or other VCS
