In this exciting opportunity as a Quality Systems Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining quality programs, including Supplier and Distributor Management.

You will work closely with stakeholders in Europe and the Americas.

A Day in the Life

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned :

  • Provide oversight for the implementation and development of Quality Management Systems (QMS) Processes to support Medtronic’s Global Region in the form of centralized shared service with emphasis in Supplier and Distributor Management.
  • Collaborate directly with operating entities, subject matter experts across the globe to ensure QMS Processes are effectively implemented in the Global Region.
  • Provide ongoing oversight of process analyses to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and provide reports and / or necessary documentation to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Facilitate standardized trainings to our stakeholders, including worldwide distributors, in order to promote best practices and corporate achievements and values.
  • Actively communicate and collaborate with process owners, learners, managers, and other employees within the organization.
  • Support process improvement projects and identify opportunities for improvements in the quality system and quality process, and work with the teams to achieve the objectives.

Must Haves

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Engineering or other relevant degree required
  • A minimum of 1-2 years of relevant experience in a Quality System role or similar relevant experience with knowledge of QMS Processes (document control, corrective and preventive action, supplier and distributor management, compliance management)
  • Proficiency in English, Spanish and Portuguese is required (both verbal and written), and strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, and computer systems
  • Passion for quality and continuous improvement processes; Achievement oriented with the ability to drive results to the highest quality standards
  • Stakeholder relationship management
  • Good prioritization, organizational and problem-solving skills, as well as high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong ability to work well within a team and autonomously; Agile and adaptable to rapidly changing needs of the business and environment

Nice to Haves

  • Knowledge in ISO and standards (9001 : 2015 and / or 13485 : 2016)
  • Knowledge in Project Management or Improvement Initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen)
  • Good presentation skills (preparation and oral)
  • Experience in developing assessments, tests, and workplace aids, creating e-learning programs, conducting training classes and / or developing criteria for evaluating the effectiveness of training activities
  • Mentoring experience (to colleagues or other professionals)
