R&D Governance Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled R&D Governance Engineer to join our team in Barcelona to work with one of the major providers of components and products for the automotive sectors worldwide, in a a very international environment impacting in teams related to high technology, mechanical, electronics and software.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for establishing and maintaining effective governance processes within our Research and Development (R&D) department.

This role requires a combination of technical expertise, project management skills, and a deep understanding of regulatory compliance.

What would you be doing in your day a day?

processes and Governance Framework Development :

Design, implement, and maintain a robust governance framework for the R&D department to ensure effective decision-making, risk management, and compliance.

2. Cross-Functional Collaboration :

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, legal, quality assurance, and regulatory affairs, to ensure alignment with governance processes.

3.Continuous Improvement :

Proactively identify areas for improvement in governance processes and recommend enhancements to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.

4. Risk Management :

Identify, assess, and manage risks associated with R&D projects, implementing mitigation strategies to safeguard project success.

5. Regulatory Compliance :

Stay abreast of industry regulations, standards, and best practices relevant to R&D that R&D projects adhere to applicable regulatory requirements and internal policies.

6.Documentation and Reporting :

Establish and maintain documentation processes for R&D activities, including project plans, progress reports, and risk assessments.

Generate regular reports for stakeholders and leadership, summarizing key R&D governance metrics and insights.

What do we need from you?

• Master’s degree in Engineering.
• Automotive engineer with minimum 5 years of experience in R&D environment.
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance standards relevant to R&D activities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across various teams and levels of the organization.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on maintaining high standards of accuracy and quality.
