Position Summary
This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and secure operation of safety and security functions within regional L&W facilities.
Responsible for overseeing the operation and maintenance of CCTV, card access, burglar, and fire alarm systems, this role supports the Global Security Projects and Systems (GSPS) team in upholding company safety and security standards across the region.
Duties include participating in safety / security audits, addressing reported concerns promptly, and assisting in managing global projects under the guidance of the Global EHSS Director.
Essential Job Functions :
- Assists the Global Security Projects and Systems Manager in overseeing global security systems, investigations, and processes.
- Supports the installation and upkeep of Regional Security systems, ensuring operational readiness as directed by the GSPS Manager.
- Ensures compliance with regulatory agencies and engages with external contractors for maintenance and construction projects.
- Prepares written reports and reviews team reports to ensure thorough investigations.
- Participates in safety / security audits, investigations, and risk assessments.
- Reports criminal activities around company facilities to law enforcement agencies.
- Provides training on corporate safety and security procedures to security officers.
- Monitors life safety systems and equipment functionality.
- Collaborates with risk team on background checks for new employees, contractors, and vendors.
- Facilitates badge issuance for new employees within the region.
- Supports global security teams in program readiness and drives continual improvement efforts.
- Compiles data and key performance indicators to inform security management system functions.
- Participates in the duty of care program to ensure the safety and security of global travelers.
- Assists the GSPS Manager in benchmarking efforts and tracking global deliveries.
- Performs any other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Security Regulation training would be adventagous
- Proficiency with CCTV operation (Avigilon), access control system (ProWatch), and Tyco burglar and fire systems.
- Strong Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Excel) skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and stressful environment.
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to train others.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Effective problem-solving and project management abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Organizational skills and reliability.
