Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization :

  • This role plays an instrumental part in the way the brand is portrayed and maximizes business in association with Real Madrid and the Global Sports Marketing and ensures on a day-to-day basis that we continue to raise the awareness and image of adidas as the number one Global Sports Brand.
  • adidas has always been associated with the best symbols and providing the best service. This position relies heavily upon interpersonal skills and excellent management of internal process and tools achieve higher levels of customer expectations.

Furthermore, the increased commercial sophistication and demands of today’s market, necessitates a keen commercial based skill and mindset in order maximize potential and achieve success for the association.

Key Responsibilities :

To optimize and leverage the relationship between adidas and Real Madrid and furthermore to set and implement the mutually agreed local & global strategy, driving return on investment, and delivering towards the brands position as the Global Number 1 in Sports.

Support the creation and implementation of a mutually agreed strategic asset plan that forms the guiding principle for how the adidas brand manages, leverages, and commercializes the association, ultimately delivering against agreed KPI’s (qualitative and quantitative) Support and coordinate the adidas and club process to ensure that key projects such as Lightspeed, Basketball, Football, and the new stadium project land in the best possible way.

Support the Senior Manager and Director in enhancing the key relationships and sales at Real Madrid and associated network.

Strict remit to spend considerable time at Real Madrid when necessary, in order to support and coordinate processes effectively.

  • Manage the ticketing platform and linked processes. Support the design of a best-in-class hospitality & ticketing experience for top tier invitees (Football & Basketball)
  • Support effectively key improvements across all areas of collaboration with Real Madrid
  • Support both the Senior Manager and Director in the improvement of the existing reporting process liaising with markets and HQ finance and product teams to dynamically find trends and new opportunities.

This requires good numerical skills and commercial savvy.

  • Support the development of a comprehensive B2B plan to activate other club partners. This includes the creation of the Partner product catalogues and recommendations.
  • Support the development of the partner endorsement plan against predefined global / local Strategic and product plan.
  • Support the servicing (VIK) of Real Madrid by the adidas brand, fulfillment and optimization of all adidas’ contractual obligations.

Objective is that all product requirements are met in full and on time.

  • Support Sample Orders in close arrangement with the wider adidas team. Objective is that all product requirements are met in full and in time.
  • Effectively support the management and implementation of budgets.
  • Support the B2B growth plans of the Real Madrid Foundation Clinics and support local & global activations and brand campaigns.
  • Support the adidas Spain Basketball brand activations and steer conversations with Real Madrid to gain the best outcome for our brand.

Key Relationships :

  • All key contacts at Real Madrid and BU Real Madrid
  • adidas markets across multi disciplines
  • All support disciplines within adidas Global HQ
  • Global adidas network, specifically those key core markets centric to the defined Real Madrid plan

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :

The individual must have experience in sales and / or marketing, be good with numbers and tools that support this while being highly motivated and focused.

He / She must be extremely well organized with a strong empathy and passion towards football. Additionally, the individual must possess / be :

  • Resolute and a good problem solver
  • Strong project management skills
  • Good market, industry, and commercial awareness
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Fluent in English
  • Driven to succeed and deliver against expectations.

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications :

  • University degree in business / marketing
  • Minimum 3-4 years’ experience working in Marketing / Sales, preferably with some experience in Business Development and / or Account Management and dealing effectively with 3rd Parties.
